About The Ritual Division

Founded in 2024, The Ritual Division is an artist-run organization that provides space for the production of artworks, and through cooperation, creates new opportunities for artists and craftspeople to explore the many “rituals” of art-making together.  In all that we do, The Ritual Division seeks to cultivate a knowledgeable, passionate, and diverse community of art workers who value collaboration and experimentation, and to provide them with resources for making.

The Division grew out of its founding members’ prior experiences as art fabricators, where it is common for art workers to learn from each other and bring their diverse skills together to create a single large-scale work of art. By applying this way of thinking in our everyday work, we can begin from our deep commitment to one another to create projects that reach farther than any creator can alone.

Shop and Studio

On the ground floor, our carpentry-focused fabrication shop and shared studios provide affordable space for our resident artists and craftspeople, who are available for both individual and group commissions. Our skills include large-scale art-making, design, prop construction, art handling, creative production, and fabrication projects across a wide variety of mediums.

Gallery and Community

On the second floor, our gallery doubles as art exhibition and community space. Our exhibition program focuses on newly-commissioned work, installation art, and experimental practices, and we regularly work with emerging artists to offer fabrication resources from our shop and studios. Artist-focused programming serves the material and technical interests of our community, and we create intentional opportunities for makers to practice together and learn from one another.

Work With Us

If you have an idea for anything made by hand, The Ritual Division can make it real.

We specialize in fine art fabrication, and collaborate closely with artists of all mediums. We apply those same skills to a wide variety of projects--particularly those that combine several skill sets or can’t be achieved by standard contracting formulas.

Our team of artists and artisans have many years of experience and an immense variety of skills including:
immersive art fabrication  •  custom furniture  •  upholstery and fabric goods  •  resin casting  •  3D modeling, printing, and laser cutting  •  clothing, jewelry, and costume production  •  event design and production  •  design/build projects  •  prop construction  • sculpture and casting  •  wood carving and trim  •  mural painting  •  scenic interior design

All of our projects are unique, but we are always happy to work within given timeframes and budgets. Get in touch to begin the conversation and we’ll carefully evaluate your needs.
